The Real Truth About Penis Size - Does it matter or not?

the truth about penis size

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Almost everyone is self-conscious about their genitals. Penis-owners tend to experience a tremendous amount of shame about the appearance, color, size, and angle of their penises.

This shame is because the myth perpetrated by magazines, pornography, and cultural stigma persists that bigger means better.

Want to know how your penis stacks up against others? What size do women prefer when it comes to penis size? What do men prefer when it comes to penis size in a penis-owning partner? Does size really matter?

The impact of porn on penis perception

the truth about penis size

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention porn in this article on penis size.

It is essential to recognize that almost everyone (if not everyone) has been exposed to pornography in this day and age.

Many people fail to analyze pornography, and more importantly, who it shows.

Porn is fictional.

It is not sex education.

It is not how sex should be done.

It is not real sex.

Actors and actresses in the porn industry are specifically cast for their body types, penis size, and general appearance.

They are chosen based on a particular fantasy they are trying to achieve. All porn is fantasy.

It may be difficult to shake the beliefs it has left instilled in you, but trust me, it is worth it.

What is the average penis size?

the truth about penis size

There is enormous variation in the size, shape, angle, curve, and amount of hair around every type of penis. During puberty, usually around 11-18 years old, the penis and testicles develop rapidly. The penis doesn’t stop growing until about the age of 21 in most penis owners.

It is also important to note that the flaccid length and size of the penis have practically no correlation with erect penis length. Meaning grower or shower, you never know what you’re in for!

Most people believe that the average length of an erect penis is longer than 6 inches (about 15 cm). However, this is not the case. That belief has been built around a study where people self-reported their penis size. Not surprisingly, many of them seemed to round up.

In one study published in the National Library of Medicine, researchers found that the average length of a fully mature and erect penis was between 5.1-5.5 inches (12.95-13.97 cm)

According to the NHS, the average flaccid penis length is around 3.75 inches (9cm).

The average penis size is much shorter than we previously thought and were taught. It isn’t typical for a penis to reach beyond the 6.5-inch length.

Which is the ideal penis size?

Penis-owners being happy with their size is rare. Regardless of the accurate statistics available, one study showed that 45% of men wished they had larger penises. It seems that while the penis owner is obsessed with their penis size, what do their partners think?

the truth about penis size

In a 2015 study where women were given 3D printed penises to hold and observe, they were asked to choose their ideal length and girth for a one-time partner as well as a long-term partner.

Please note that the participants in the study were asked to choose from 3D printed penises, not real penises attached to people.

Between the two options, the results were pretty similar. The majority of the women chose between 6.3-6.4 inches in length and a circumference of 4.8 inches. These numbers are only slightly above average.

A self-identified gay client of Sex With Elaine kindly offered to share a quote about his preference when it comes to penises:

“Huge dicks are nice every so often but if a big old thing claps my ass everyday I’ll have issues late in life. Boyfriend penis is comfortable and fun and you don’t have to worry about having a prolapsed anus.”

A self-identified straight female client of Sex With Elaine shared the opinion, “Smaller penises for long term. Stable, won’t hurt, if used correctly can feel really good. Like a good Nokia that never dies.”

So, as you can see, many people agree that they prefer a smaller penis for long-term commitment and sexual intercourse.

What smaller members are great for

the truth about penis size

People rarely acknowledge that smaller penises are often perfect for hitting either the G-spot in women or the P-spot in men.

The female G-spot is located about 5-8 cm (1.97-3.15 inches) inside the vaginal canal. The P-spot or prostate is located about the same depth inside of the anus.

These two areas are well-known for offering the most powerful orgasm a person can experience. As you can tell by the lengths, nearly every penis, when angled correctly, should be able to stimulate those powerhouses.

Also, bear in mind that the golden rule is that most women require clitoral stimulation to orgasm. 75% of women don’t experience penetrative orgasm, period. No matter how you try to grow your penis. It is based on personal preference and their anatomy rather than on your downstairs member.

Sex coaching and penis size

At the end of the day, how you feel about your penis will be reflected in your sex life. If you’re worried that you’re not big enough to please your partner, your penis may struggle to rise to the occasion.

Shifting your perspective to loving your downstairs neighbor and celebrating all that it adds to your life can make sex a more pleasurable and positive experience.
